In Memory of Ivy

Unfortunately, we have lost another longtime, beloved, Roxy pup. Ivy was a big Leonberger with an even bigger heart. She was adored by many, many students over the years, as well as everyone else who met her. She will be missed by all of us at Roxy.

Here are some words from her owner/handler, Joanne Loeffler:

“

My beautiful Ivy crossed the rainbow bridge this afternoon. No words could ever describe how much I loved this dog. She was the most perfect, even tempered dog I’ve ever known. She did anything I ever asked of her.

She and I put in roughly 800 hours as a therapy dog team over her career. We were a Roxy team for the last 9 years. I have countless stories of the young lives she affected during her visits.

I took her for one last trip to the lake this afternoon before we said goodbye. She was so happy to be in her favorite spot just laying in the water.

Until we meet again my love, ten years was not long enough.”
