In Memory of Scooter
We have lost another beloved Roxy dog. Scooter was the sweetest, most calm little girl. She visited the Pediatric Unit at Doylestown Hospital for years with her owner/handler, Joyce.
Here are some words from her owner and handler, Joyce Rivas:
Scooter stole the hearts of so many in Doylestown Hospital…
One little girl had fun dressing Scooter in a Santa suit on her hospital bed which made the girl’s family feel so much better.
Scooter was the perfect audience as a new big sister revealed her treasures from the gift shop.
A young man with cerebral palsy had the biggest smile you’ve ever seen while Scooter was on his lap.
Scooter made chemo time a little easier to bear.
Bedside visits with Scooter were magical.
“Can’t you just leave her with me?” was a frequent question.
Nurses hugged Scooter and wanted her hair.
Scooter attended quite a few meetings and only occasional snored.
Scooter was completely Zen; her calm was contagious and her presence always made a difference.
Scooter, we miss you terribly and you will always be in our hearts.
Our sweet Scooter
