In Memory of Freya

Sadly, we have lost another beloved Roxy dog. Sweet Freya passed away this weekend at the age of 12 and a half. If you knew Freya, then you know she epitomized kindness and patience. She accomplished so much in her time as a Roxy dog. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Here are some words from her owner and handler, Denise Cronin:

Freya enjoyed her many visits to school

It is with a heavy heart that I have to say my beloved Freya crossed the rainbow bridge on July 5th. She was 12 years plus and just the best dog you could ever ask for. She served 5 years with Roxy in our school district and also in the Courthouse Companionship Program. She loved going to school and seeing the kids. I know she helped a lot of students enjoy reading more than they ever thought they would. She also loved all the attention and love. 

In her free time, she loved the cold and snow, collecting sticks on her walks, and boating and swimming in the Barnegat Bay.

Freya had a big Fan Club and will be missed by a lot of people, big and small. She touched a lot of hearts!
