In Memory of Cooper

Another beloved Roxy canine volunteer, Cooper, has passed away. We are grateful for his years of service and will certainly miss him. Please see the attached note from his handler, Connie.

It is with profound sadness that I am posting the passing of our beloved little Cooper (age 16). He lived a wonderful life -- and brought love, joy, and laughter to so many. As a Therapy Dog in the Roxy Reading Program at Gayman Elementary School for six years (we were one of the first teams!), he listened to 100s of students read to him. Working with mainstream and challenged students, he helped to better their oral reading skills and foster their love of reading. He was small in stature, but had a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was loved and will be sorely missed...  I am sending a donation in his memory -- please post this information in the Roxy Reporter.
