Lauren Zegarski, Parent, Groveland Elementary
We aren’t a dog family. My son was scared of dogs from past experiences with untrained dogs. He is at Groveland and randomly one day got to see one of the dogs at school for the first time. He was soooooo excited to come home and tell me he willingly petted a dog for the first time. And had the dog’s card. Even though you’re not in his class, even very small interactions with kids randomly make a difference.
I believe the dog’s card he brought home was “Bonnie Jean.” He said, “They’re trained dogs!!!!” I said yes. I know. He goes “no like PROFESSIONALLY trained!!!!” It was actually really, really cute.

1st Grade Teacher, Barclay Summer Camp
“Barclay Summer Camp would like to express our gratitude for having the Roxy Therapy Dogs visit us! The campers were so excited to read with Tucker, Maya, or Brodie throughout summer. Many campers shared how they looked forward to reading each week with a Roxy team. The teachers also commented on how helpful Steve and Sue were encouraging students as they read. We hope you have a wonderful rest of your summer!

My daughter has been visiting with your dogs since 1st grade. (She's in 5th!) She's autistic and dogs are one of her great obsessions in life. Thank you for all you do as it makes a difference in this kid's life as well as so many others!!!

Student Donor
“I decided to donate money to Roxy because I think it is important for children who can’t afford therapy dogs to get them, so they can get mentally better or feel better with the therapy dog by their side.”

Doylestown Health
“It’s clear based on the behavior of dogs that they in fact sense pain and the emotional state of the people they meet; therapy dogs interact with patients in ways that humans cannot.”
