Thanks from a Mom
The volunteers at Roxy™ Therapy Dogs (and that’s all of us) donate our training, time, and compassion and share our dogs with thousands of children who need us each week.
When we aren’t in a pandemic, our volunteers clock 6,000 hours per year working with children in the Central Bucks School District and at the Bucks County Courthouse, Doylestown Health, and Pedia Manor. The children’s smiles are our reward.
But we do love it so when someone takes the time to tell us the impact a Roxy therapy dog has on them or on a child they know. Such is the case when a mom of a student at Butler Elementary School messaged us on Facebook with the following:
Hello! I saw your post about Roxy dogs and wanted to thank you for all the great contributions your organization makes to these kids. My daughter has been visiting with your dogs via Butler since 1st grade. (She's in 5th!) She's autistic and dogs are one of her great obsessions in life.
She was given the opportunity of seeing the dogs on Thursdays whenever she had a great week at school. Roxy dogs were the highlight of the week!
I hope she gets to "see" her dogs this year even if it is a video message or some other tech way!
Thank you for all you do as it makes a difference in this kid's life as well as so many others!!!
